During this portion of the game, enemy dinosaurs often randomly challenge the player to a battle. The player can fight or choose to abandon the battle. In 2018, Zack Zwiezen of Kotaku ranked the game among the “weirdest” Jurassic Park games ever released, stating that it was like Warpath: Jurassic Park but with an “unnecessary and weird” storyline and “less fun” combat.

Then they need to create and plan future sequences to guide them to victory. By performing these simple tasks simultaneously and repeatedly, the players can experience a clear improvement in their mental skills as they can perform them quicker and quicker each time.

Small world board game
Another important idea I had in mind were legendary artifacts which can be transferred from generation to generation. While previously powers were specific to a race, now we have new strong powers but that can be claimed by different races. Some of those artifacts didn’t need to move on the board so they became magical places which opened up my mind to even more ideas on how they could be used.

Battle couldn’t be more user-friendly when counting as high as six or seven is the basic skill involved. Drop enough tokens and the other team takes their equipment and goes home. I really appreciate that not every defeated token is driven from the board (though one is), but that there is room for theoretical retreat to safety at the turn’s end. Battles are instantaneous, and the only intrusion of dice and randomness waits until the end. The simplicity allows the ever-changing board state to be the star of the experience. There’s no room for sentimentality with such flux.
