If you cart three times or run out of time cards, it’s game over, but if you manage to defeat the monster you can reap the rewards by carving. This is handled with a roll of the dice, with extra rewards given for breaking monster parts during the fight. Heading into the HQ phase allows you to use the resources you’ve gathered to craft better gear, represented by different cards, and get tougher ready for the next encounter.
