Blake Treinen wasn’t needed in Game 3, giving him another day of rest after a heavy workload in Games 1 and 2. Every one-inning reliever will be available and could be extended to multiple frames.
Game 1 of the World Series will be played Oct. 25. Game 2 will take place the following day. After an off day Oct. 27, the series will resume with games each day from the 28th to the 30th. Monday, Oct. 31—Halloween—would be an off day, with Game 6 coming Nov. 1 and a possible Game 7 taking place Nov. 2.

College world series game today

The 3-1 score held all the way until the bottom of the seventh inning, where Tennessee appeared to take control of the game with an emphatic three-run frame. CWS Most Outstanding Player Dylan Dreiling hit a towering two-run home run — his third in the CWS Finals — while Kavares Tears hit a ringing RBI double into right-centerfield. A fantastic relay by Jace LaViolette and Ali Camarillo led to the throw beating Hunter Ensley to the plate, but Ensley somehow got inside and around the tag of catcher Jackson Appel with a nifty juke-like move.

Next game of the world series
Re-sale tickets for Game 3 at Yankee Stadium ranged from around $1,500 for seats in the right field bleachers to over $18,000 to sit next to the Yankees’ dugout. Yankee Stadium also had a standing-room-only Pinstripe Pass for more than $1,000 that got you inside and one drink, but no seat.
Yankees: Rizzo is playing through two fractured fingers on his right hand, which is a pain tolerance issue, as the fractures won’t heal until the offseason. Infielder DJ LeMahieu (right hip impingement) has been continuing to hit and field throughout the playoffs.
As for the Dodgers, the four innings Landon Knack ate in a bullpen game in Game 4 loom large for Game 5. Because now, behind starter Jack Flaherty, they can call upon any of their high-leverage relief arms in this one.
Much of the pre-Series pressure is on New York. With their massive payroll – the second-largest in MLB in 2024, according to Spotrac – and global reach, Yankees fans expect the Bronx Bombers to win every game, let alone every Fall Classic. But New York hasn’t played for a ring since 2009 – an agonizingly long stretch of time for the team’s faithful.
So while they didn’t finish the job Tuesday night and have their hands full with Cole, there’s no denying the Dodgers are still in the driver’s seat as they try to win the World Series for the second time in five seasons and the first time in a full season since 1988.
