Round 6: Opetaia keeps the pressure on as Massey attempts to rally, perhaps a final attempt at getting himself into the fight. Opetaia now drilling the body right hooks and Massey winces. The corner throw in the towel! That’s it!
A clash between unbeaten WBC female lightweight champion Caroline Dubois (10-0-1, 5 KOs) and Jessica Camara (14-4-1, 3 KOs) ended in a two round technical draw after Camara was cut by an accidental head clash. Dubois was dominating before the unfortunate end.
Heavyweight Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh (15-2-1, 13 KOs) won his 10th fight in a row in last night’s “EQC Fight Night” in the EQC Event Center at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington. Ibeh, 31, hasn’t lost since 2021. The former Canadian pro football player used his 70-pound advantage over Scott Alexander (17-7-2, 9 KOs) in the main event, trapping his opponent on the ropes, causing a pair of knockdowns. The latter closed the show at 2:36 of the first round for his second straight opening-round stoppag. Ibeh, who is a native of Nigeria who lives in Phoenix, entered the ring as the WBC Latino silver Heavyweight Champion and left with the vacant WBC Latino title.
Gustavo Olivieri: “In light of the uncertainty regarding Teofimo Lopez’s career, it is in the best interest of boxing and the 140lb division, recommending to the WBO Championship Committee that Barboza-Catterall be sanctioned for the interim title and mandatory subject to specific conditions and time frame to fight Lopez to terminate the interim champion status and have only one world champion in the 140lb . The show must go on.”
“Hi everybody! I’m going to make this short and sweet. I would like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast. I’ve loved every single minute of it, and I am going to end with this. Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody. See you on the other side,” stated Fury.

Why is almost everyone stating Benavidez would beat Canelo? Benavidez without a doubt is the best 168lb, but not to fortget he got dropped by Gavril in their first fight and got a SD. Who has he beaten since? a blown up middle weight in Lemieux, a Dirrell who had a serious scare from Yildrim in his previous fight, the same guy Canelo annihilated. Right now he is one of the fighters on the top of the list to fight Canelo. Now fighting Canelo we all know is more of a financial interest, to win the sweepstakes Benavidez should fight Andrade should he win his next 168lb fight. The winner would pick up another interim title being unified and leaving Canelo no choice to but to fight him.
this fight is way tooo late. canelo waited and waited and waited. and now he will fight a 40 year old ggg at 168lbs, where ggg has no business. canelo will step into the ring so mush bigger and heavier than ggg, hell he was much heavier and bigger than ggg at 160. i do Not find this entertaining, and will Not watch. No thanks.
The renowned Gennady Golovkin, also known as the “Triple G” has long been a formidable force in the boxing realm. With his reputation for devastating knockouts and his impressive overall record, Golovkin has established himself as one of the sport’s most resilient champions. As fans impatiently await his next move, let’s take a deeper look into what Golovkin has in store.
GGG has not boxed since losing to Canelo Alvarez in 2022. That capped off their trilogy as Golovkin was arguably deprived of a historic win in their first bout, which was declared a draw. Since then, Golovkin has been weighing up his future. The Khazak admitted that he has not officially retired and will return if the right fight presents itself. This has created the narrative that Golovkin would return for a mega purse now that he is 42, as a world title is unlikely. A fight in Saudi Arabia would do that.
ROUND 4: Golovkin responds by bringing his signature left hook into play and he enjoys some success. It’s probably enough to take an all-action round but this is hard work for the 40-year-old and his punches do not seem to be having much effect on the very durable Murata at this stage.
