World series game 2024 4
Following a polished game to start the day, the night cap between Florida State and Tennessee was anything but. It was a tale of two games for the Volunteers, who—thanks to a plethora of free bases and a couple of big swings from Jaime Ferrer—trailed 9-4 heading into the fifth inning with FSU ace Jamie Arnold still on the mound.< https://megamoolah-slot.net/ /p>
Future first-round pick Christian Moore set the tone early for the Volunteers with a lead-off home run to get the scoring started. After Texas A&M punched back in the top of the third and tied the game on a Gavin Grahovac single, Tennessee scratched across two runs of its own on a Dylan Dreiling sac-fly and a Dean Curley RBI single to take a 3-1 lead.
After two walk-offs yesterday, Kentucky this afternoon made it three-straight as it picked up its first walk-off win of the season. It was a clean, back-and-forth affair that saw the Wildcats leading 3-1 heading into the seventh inning after Nolan McCarthy hit a missile out to left field for a two-run home run.

Old world game
Old World can be vexing at first given how much more there is to manage on top of the usual 4X concerns we’ve gotten used to in the past decade or so, and the UI can feel cluttered as you’re trying to piece it all together. But crucially, none of that added complexity comes without added rewards. The richness and human element that mortal characters and noble families bring is well worth coming to grips with all of the extra mechanics they introduce. Limiting your ability to give orders not only cuts down on long turn times in the late game, but opens up new strategies for playing tall or making the most of a less than great start position. It’s a fine balancing act, and while Old World doesn’t really become a “Civ killer,” I don’t think it’s trying to be. For those who have the patience to master it, it’s a satisfying and deep 4X that could generate interesting stories for ages to come.

Old World is like a post-graduate program for players who already have a bachelor’s degree in Sid Meier’s Civilization. Despite covering a much smaller slice of history, it takes the Civ template as a starting point and layers a lot of new mechanics on top of it. And for the most part, they’re pretty interesting twists. But they’re often presented in ways that aren’t immediately elegant or approachable. The most prominent of these is a system of named characters and aristocratic families which adds a sort of “Crusader Kings Lite” dynamic to your internal and international politics.

Who won game 5 of the world series
When Buehler struck out Verdugo to end the game, the Dodgers poured onto the field to celebrate between the mound and first base, capping a season in which they led the big leagues with 98 wins. With several thousand Dodgers fans remaining in a mostly empty stadium, baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred presented the trophy on a platform quickly erected over second base.
The game was still in for its share of twists and turns. The Yankees took another lead on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. The Dodgers took it back with two sac flies in the eighth. Game 3 starter Walker Buehler came on for his first save as a big leaguer.
“The banning to tonight’s game was kind of expected, but the fact my little brother and his friends can’t use our season tickets tonight has really pissed me off,” he said in a text message to NBC News. “It’s not like they can go to the next game.”
