The hardest game in the world
Freddie Freeman hit the first game-ending grand slam in World Series history with two outs in the 10th inning to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 6-3 victory over the New York Yankees in a drama-filled opener Friday.< https://fotomodellek.com/ /p>
“This trophy is what makes you go through the grind every day,” Freeman said after the game. “When you step in Spring Training in February, your eyes are on that. You do everything you can, that’s what’s worth it for me. I got here at 10:30 in the morning, got treatment and made it just in time for the hitter’s meeting. I’ll start it all over tomorrow because winning a World Series is everything.”
And in the end, the Dodgers came out with a magical opening act in which Freeman gave off those Gibby goosebumps — almost to the minute (Gibson’s homer had landed at 8:38 p.m. local time, Freeman’s cleared the wall at 8:39).
Randy Johnson tells Dan Patrick where he keeps his Cy Young awards, how he would pitch to Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge, what kind of pitcher he would be like in today’s game, makes his World Series pick, and more.

Where in the world is carmen sandiego game
The original version was released in 1985. The goal of this game is to track Carmen’s villains around the world and arrest them and later ultimately arrest Carmen herself. In order to make an arrest, the user had to have a warrant for the correct villain. The player began the game by visiting the city and country where the crime took place, and then obtaining hints from the bystanders on where the thief went next, leading them on a chase around the world to find the thief before they “get away”. In the process, the player collected clues about the villain’s identity to determine who the culprit is. When the player reached their final destination, the player presented the accurate warrant to arrest the villain.
In 2019, Google partnered with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt to develop a series of Carmen Sandiego capers that utilized Google Earth as the world map, the first released in March, but was otherwise playing out similar to the original 1985 video game.
Although Carmen’s V.I.L.E. gang members were often portrayed as cartoonish buffoons, they seemed to be capable of “stealing” landmarks, cities, national parks, notable cultural exports (such as “stealing all the sushi from Japan”) and the like. Her thieves have also been known to steal geographic features and even nonexistent map features such as the Mason–Dixon line. Some thefts were even non sequiturs based on word play, such as “robbing the banks of the Nile” or plays on the word “steal” such as “stealing the show”.
The user becomes eligible for promotion after solving enough cases. Before the new rank is granted, though, the user must correctly answer a geography question with the help of a reference book included with the program (used as a form of protection against disk copying). Each rank gives harder assignments with more potential locations to visit. The culprit in the final case is Carmen Sandiego herself; apprehending her earns the user a spot in the game’s Hall of Fame.

Game 6 world series
Game 2 figured to be a classic pitching matchup, between the Mets’ young phenom Dwight Gooden and Boston’s own young pitching sensation Roger Clemens, but neither pitcher went beyond five innings. The Red Sox scored first in the top of the third inning, following a leadoff walk to Spike Owen, when Keith Hernandez fielded a Clemens bunt, but threw it away trying to catch Owen at second base. Wade Boggs then drove in Owen with a double, Marty Barrett drove in Clemens with a single, and Bill Buckner drove in Boggs with a single to give the Sox a 3–0 lead. In the bottom half of the inning, the Mets had men on second and third base for Wally Backman, who grounded up the middle, plating Rafael Santana. Hernandez then grounded out, allowing Gooden to score and bring the Mets within one run.
Gary Carter was the next batter and he lifted a fly ball to Evans in right. The veteran outfielder had to dive in order to catch it, and was unable to come up with the catch. Right field umpire Dale Ford did not immediately rule that there was no catch, which crossed up Hernandez on the basepath; since the ball was ruled to be in play, he had to attempt to advance to second base. Since there was a delay in the ruling, Evans was able to throw back into the infield and force out Hernandez at second. Backman managed to score on the play to tie the game, but the Mets lost the opportunity to have Darryl Strawberry come up with a chance to drive in the go ahead run; instead, Hurst got him to fly out and escaped further damage. Hurst was lifted for a pinch hitter after this inning.
As for this year’s LCS competitors, the Rangers grabbed their first victory in two tries in a Game 7, dropping the Astros to 2-4. The D-backs won their only previous chance — beating the Yankees in a memorable Game 7 of the 2001 World Series — prior to winning Game 7 of the ’23 NLCS vs. the Phillies.
2. 1986: Mets 6, Red Sox 5 (Forced Game 7)The Red Sox, trying to close out their first championship since 1918, lost a 3-2 lead when Gary Carter hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. Boston scored twice in the 10th, including Dave Henderson’s leadoff homer, but with two outs and nobody on base in the bottom of the frame, things unraveled. After three straight singles, a wild pitch and Mookie Wilson’s grounder through the legs of first baseman Bill Buckner, the Mets walked off to set up their Game 7 triumph.
• Only four pitchers have turned in a double-digit strikeout performance in a Game 7. Roger Clemens (2001 World Series), Gibson (1967 World Series), Sandy Koufax (’65 World Series) and Hal Newhouser (’45 World Series) share the record with 10.
