The reboot version was released in 1996 with a new gameplay interface and animated characters. This version features QuickTime videos of actress Lynne Thigpen reprising her role as “The Chief” from the eponymous PBS game show, a role she would also play in the U.S https://justsugarphotography.com/ .A. and Time reboot games released during that same period.
The original version was released in 1985. The goal of this game is to track Carmen’s villains around the world and arrest them and later ultimately arrest Carmen herself. In order to make an arrest, the user had to have a warrant for the correct villain. The player began the game by visiting the city and country where the crime took place, and then obtaining hints from the bystanders on where the thief went next, leading them on a chase around the world to find the thief before they “get away”. In the process, the player collected clues about the villain’s identity to determine who the culprit is. When the player reached their final destination, the player presented the accurate warrant to arrest the villain.
The games created by Broderbund featured silly humor with a distinctive style of word play with extensive use of puns, rhymes, and alliteration. This style of word play was also present, in varying degrees, in all three Carmen Sandiego television shows.
World series game 5
1914: Braves over AthleticsThis was the first four-game sweep in World Series history, with the “Miracle” Braves — in last place in the National League as late as July 4 — surging to an NL pennant and stunning a supposedly strong Philadelphia A’s starting rotation.
The Dodgers won Game 1 on the strength of Freeman’s Kirk Gibson-style walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning, but they took a commanding 3-1 series lead thanks to, surprisingly, their starting pitching. Jack Flaherty, Yamamoto and Buehler combined to allow three runs in 16⅔ innings, obliterating the Yankees’ biggest advantage.
Gerrit Cole will pitch for New York in Game 5, and while the Dodgers took Game 1 with Cole pitching, the Yankees ace gave up only one earned run. The Dodgers got five off the Yankees’ bullpen in four innings, of course including Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam. Los Angeles will roll with Jack Flaherty, who gave up two runs, five hits, and had six strikeouts in Game 1.
There was the heartbreak of the 2017 World Series, a seven-game loss to a Houston Astros team that was later revealed to have been illegally stealing signs. The crushing finality to 2019, when the underdog Washington Nationals came from behind in the decisive game of the National League Division Series. And the sheer disappointments of 2022 and 2023, when they were ousted early by two division rivals — the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks, respectively — that they previously dominated.
Buehler toed the rubber from the stretch position and displayed some of the nastiest stuff he has shown all year — a fastball that reached 97 mph, a cutter that darted, a curve with hellacious spin. He navigated through the bottom of the Yankees’ lineup with ease, cementing his legacy as one of the ultimate October performers in Dodgers history.

Re-sale tickets for Game 3 at Yankee Stadium ranged from around $1,500 for seats in the right field bleachers to over $18,000 to sit next to the Yankees’ dugout. Yankee Stadium also had a standing-room-only Pinstripe Pass for more than $1,000 that got you inside and one drink, but no seat.

Tennessee held on to its 4-1 lead to force a winner-take-all MCWS Finals Game 3 tomorrow. Two 2-RBI homers in the seventh and eighth innings gave Tennessee the advantage as the Vols held the Aggies scoreless after Jace LaViolette’s first-inning homer. Though the Aggies put two runners on in the bottom of the ninth, they were unable to finish the job against Tennessee closer Nate Snead, flying out twice to end the game.
