Picking the hardest “Souls” game can be a challenge. Each has their own unique hurdles that have helped make the series a byword for difficulty in the gaming industry. But, with all due respect to “Demon’s Souls,” “Dark Souls,” and “Dark Souls III,” we’re going with “Dark Souls II.” Its level design is arguably the most frustrating and punishing, with regular enemies often swarming you, not to mention the usual brutally tough boss fights. Then there’s the fact that you often heal so slowly that you get hit again anyway. Oh, and your max health is reduced every time you die! The fact that creator Hidetaka Miyazaki didn’t direct this one may explain the greater-than-average brutality.
The “Crash Bandicoot” games are known for having brutal, precision platforming. However, its newest game brought the series back with an even greater degree of difficulty. Just completing the base game is hard enough, with tough jumps and new powers and characters to utilize in achieving them. Cortex Castle alone has given the internet collective nightmares for how hard it is! But players trying to smash every crate and discover every secret are in for a bad time! Still, at least all the death animations are fun to watch. You’ll certainly be rewatching them plenty of times!

There’s not a ton left that we can really say about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time outside of the fact that it’s indisputably one of the greatest games ever made. Not only did it redefine action/adventure games, but it completely changed the way the industry thought about 3D combat and exploration. An epic tale that introduced new characters, new lore, and an ever-expanding timeline theory, this version of Zelda took what was great about its predecessors and expanded on those themes and ideas exponentially. Solving puzzle across time, riding Epona through the vast expanse of Hyrule, and the final confrontation with Ganon are moments that will stick with Zelda fans forever, but in 1998 they were mind-bending, genre-defining. – Zach Ryan (Read Our Review)
In the July 2018 update, the game added new content from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, including the Champion’s Tunic for Link, with the Master Cycle Zero, Ancient Tires and the Paraglider as the parts.
SimCity 2000 is a beautiful, funny, detailed sandbox that gives players control of a huge, customizable map that they can manage how they see fit. You can build the perfect metropolis or you can burn it all to the ground with catastrophes like earthquakes and alien attacks. Compared to the other entries in the series, the game hits that player agency sweet spot so you feel like you’re empowered to save your city without being overwhelmed by choice. You need to make sure your Sims have access to electricity and water, but also that they’re safe, have access to healthcare, and the roads are maintained. As your city grows, you’ll have to keep track of things like mass transit, entertainment, and the economy but the difficulty curve never feels too steep, and success always seems just a stadium away. – Christian Holt
On December 7th, 2022, the game had an update in preparation of Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass. It introduced its very first gameplay update, as being hit by the Lightning item no longer makes you fall while gliding. Other notable additions include a new custom item mode that has been added to offline VS races as well as some online modes, a few bugfixes and minor quality of life improvements.

World series game 1
This series marked the twelfth World Series meeting between the Dodgers and Yankees and the first since 1981. It was also the thirteenth meeting between teams from New York City and Los Angeles for a major professional sports championship. This previously happened in four World Series (1963, 1977, 1978, 1981), three NBA Finals (1970, 1972, and 1973) and the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals. Following the 2024 World Series, LA teams held a five to four advantage over New York City teams in terms of championship matchups between the two cities.
The Dodgers held a parade from Los Angeles City Hall to L.A. Central Public Library along Grand Avenue followed by a celebration at Dodger Stadium on November 1, 2024, the birthday of former Dodgers star pitcher Fernando Valenzuela. Despite honoring the Dodgers as the 2024 World Series champions, fan tributes to Valenzuela were also considered to be a highlight of the November 1 celebrations.
But as the Series shifts to the Bronx for Game 3 on Monday night at Yankee Stadium, with the Dodgers up 2-0 in the best-of-seven, the big stars are faced with big questions — about Ohtani’s availability and Judge’s invisibility.
So the Yankees took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the 10th. Ohtani came to the plate with two on and one out. The Yankees turned to the lefty Cortes, who hadn’t pitched since Sept. 18 because of elbow trouble.
